Rewilding Adventure is proud to collaborate with Raithwaite Hall, providing you with luxury accommodation &  memorable experiences on the Cleveland Way, enjoying the distinctiveness of the North York Moors National Park!

Please note: Rewilding Adventure has an excellent safety record. Yet, the concept of ‘Adventure’, by definition includes an element of risk; indeed, there is risk involved in the outdoor adventure, Forest School and bushcraft activities undertaken by Rewilding Adventure. Every reasonable effort has been made to reduce, avoid or remove risks.

2. Suggested Clothing and Equipment Lists

Suggested  Clothing (for walking activties):

  • Waterproof coat and trousers*
  • Fleece/Warm Layer* (two or three in cold weather)
  • Hat*, Gloves and Scarf
  • Sturdy Footwear with ankle support*
  • Suitable Walking Clothing
  • Two pairs of socks
  • Personal Medication*
  • Small rucksack/day sack to carry equipment & packed lunch

*- these items are essential; we cannot take you onto the moor without them.

These will be freshly prepared by Raithwaite Hall on the morning of the walk. We shall collect them before we depart.

Raithwaite Estate, Sandsend Road, Whitby, North Yorkshire, YO21 3ST. 

4. Meeting Point and Activity Details:

We shall meet to the front of the Raithwaite Hall shortly before 9am, so we can depart promptly.  

Itinerary 

Each walking day, requires us to travel to the start point of the Cleveland Way section.

We aim to be walking at 10am, have lunch at approximately 12.30pm/1pm, then meet the minibus by 4pm. 

At the end of the walk, depending on time and location, we might visit a country pub, or make our way straight back to Raithwaite Hall for tea and cake at 5pm. 

Toilet Facilities:

Toilet facilities vary according to location; it’s best to go prior to leaving Raithwaite Hall. 

Wherever possible we shall visit a toilet before we start walking, and if there isn’t a toilet on route then we shall visit one shortly after finishing.
