Summer HAF: Community Ventures (Thorntree): Paddleboard Adventure Session
Prior to booking please read the below:
Our Paddleboard Adventure Sessions are a way for your child to be active, outside and to have an adventure- whilst exploring local waterways and lakes; we’re pleased to be working with our good friends at Teesoutdoors to provide this opportunity. These sessions are for children aged 11-16 years; who are eligible for benefit related free school meals. We will collect children at 1.30pm, from Community Ventures, The Greenway, Thorntree, TS3 9PA ; we will return them at 5.30pm to the same location.
A packed lunch and drinks will be provided for these days, but they will need spare clothing and a towel- please see the link with the suggested clothing below.
Please note: staff from CVL will not be available to meet you- we are just using it as a meeting point; please stay with your child until Rewilding has collected them, so we can ensure we have all the details needed prior to them coming with us for the day. Also, your child is still welcome to attend even if they have not attended CVL previously.
These places are fully funded for children who receive benefits-related free school meals (see the link above for which benefits are included). They are offered on a 4/4/4 basis, 4 hour per day, for four days per week, for four weeks. Therefore, your child can attend 16 of these sessions (or up to 16 if you are accessing other local HAF provision).
Please notify us of any allergies/intolerances, or dietary needs upon booking.
The places are equally funded for Redcar & Cleveland and Middlesbrough boroughs; if you live outside of these areas, then unfortunately we are unable to welcome you on these days (but there will be provision in your local authority area, as funding has been made available for every council in the UK)
IMPORTANT NOTE: your child must bring a full change of clothing, a towel and spare footwear; please click the link at point 3 below for a full list of what they need.
