Summer Solstice Summit Sunrise

An early start will mean we will walk to the summit of Roseberry Topping as the last darkness of Spring is waning, then looking north east we will watch as the sun breaks the horizon, and heralds the arrival of summer.

Meeting point is the lay-by parking, to the North of Newton-under-Roseberry on the A173. Participants should expect a moderate walk to the summit of Roseberry Topping.

Participants must bring:
– Suitable Walking Footwear
– Suitable warm and waterproof clothing
– Personal medication (where appropriate)
– Head torch (cannot be a hand held torch)

You may also like to bring some refreshments such as a flask and a snack.

We’ll do our best but there may be cloud but we will still see the dawn of a new day, a new season and the turning of the year. If you’re travelling an want to truly celebrate, with an overnight stay, then we recommend one of the boutique yurts at the nearby Baby Moon, just ten minutes away.
